Dog Barking

A surprising way that can actually quiet most Dog Barking immediately, even if nothing else has worked before…

The ONLY Two Reasons Why Your Dog Barks..

There are only two reasons why your dog barks: for Territorial Reasons or Purposeful Reasons. Both of these can be stopped using the method I’m about to share with you.

That being said, you don’t really want to stop your dog from barking altogether. Even your Neighbor’s Dog Barking.  It’s in their DNA.

They’re naturally protective animals.Neighbors Dog Barking

  1. They’re protective of their territory (your home), they’re protective of their owners (you), and they’re protective of children in their territory (your kids or grandkids).
  2. Stopping them from barking altogether is keeping them from having a sense of purpose. They want nothing more than to make you happy.
  3. When your dog is barking outside, they’re most likely warning you (as well as whatever they’re barking at) that something is getting too close, or even entering, their territory.
  4. When your dog is barking for social reasons… they’re playing, greeting guests, greeting other dogs in public, or getting your attention… they’re doing so for a purpose.

So here’s how you quiet your dog on command…

The answer is one word… training. But more importantly, you must train your dog to listen to you. The solution is two commands in one… Quiet and Sit. Training takes time.

It’s not something any dog can learn after the first try. Practice this routine multiple times per day until your dog gets it right every time.

Where most people go wrong is trying to train their dog during full-blown barking episode. You first have to train them by creating a false situation.

Take your dog into the living room with you and have a friend or family member ring the doorbell (or whatever initiates a barking episode).

Start by teaching the Quiet command. Keep saying Quiet until your dog stops barking, at which time, give them verbal praise (like good boy or girl) and reward them with a small treat.Stop Dog Barking At Night

If your dog already knows the Sit command, say Sit and give them another treat.

If your dog doesn’t know the Sit command, you can practice that separately at a different time.

Just give them a slight push on the bum until they sit, give them verbal praise, and give them a small treat.

Repetition is the key to success in training your dog, no matter what you’re teaching them.

That’s a pretty simple trick, right?
